Latinx founders comprise one quarter of Ulupreneurs and we kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with a profile on one of our newest founders, Roby Penacastro. The Ulu team has 25% of all Latina partners in US institutional funds over $100M: Miriam Rivera, Nancy Torres, and Maria Salamanca. AND Miriam was named one of eight Hispanic VC Trailblazers by Venture Forward!
TechCrunch interviewed Miriam Rivera in an article featuring seven investors at the Kauffman Fellows VC Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, on their perspectives regarding the African startup scene.
Kauffman Fellows Summit
Miriam Rivera, Clint Korver, and Nancy Torres all attended the global Kauffman Fellows Summit this year in Nairobi, Kenya. Miriam and Clint each led Fellow-generated content sessions focused on fundraising and navigating special situation deals in today’s environment, respectively. Over the course of four days, the team had an opportunity to strengthen connections with the Kauffman network, gain valuable insights from the local VC ecosystem, and nurture curiosity about new investment opportunities.
