Ulupreneurs celebrated spring’s arrival by raising more than $110M in March! We honored our rockstar female founders for Women’s History Month, and a Pitchbook Report highlighted Miriam Rivera in an article written by Pivotal Ventures!
Pitchfork Report
A Pitchbook Report featured an article written by Pivotal Ventures managing director Erin Harkless Moore entitled “Bridging the Gap: Women-led Funds Are Seizing Opportunities Others Have Missed.” The article profiled Miriam Rivera and Promise Phelon, founder and managing partner at Growth Warrior Capital, as examples of funds led by women of color who are increasing diversity and equity in venture capital.
NASP SoCal Conference
Steve Reale joined an all-star panel at the NASP (National Association of Securities Professionals) SoCal conference on how VCs today must manage the crosscurrents of ongoing technological innovation, market uncertainty, and a complicated geopolitical environment to be resilient. The panel included investors from T. Rowe Price, J.P. Morgan, Fairview, and others.
State of Latino Entrepreneurship Summit

VC Unleashed
Andrea Bogarin was a panelist at a VC Unleashed event centered around preparing for and acing interviews with VCs. Women’s History Month
Ulu celebrated Women’s History Month by highlighting two rockstar founders’ stories. The first focused on Madeline Dangerfield-Cha, co-founder of Mon Ami, who created a database used by national government agencies serving older adults and people with disabilities. See the short video about her difficult journey in fundraising for two women of color. The second introduced MIT graduate Aline Lerner, founder of interviewing.io—a platform that helps software engineers prepare for technical interviews by working anonymously with engineers from major tech companies. An engineer signs up on interviewing.io every three minutes!
