Hispanic Heritage Month – Jorge Heraud

“Jorge Heraud convinced us of his long term vision in 2012 as co-founder and CEO of Blue River Technology. We invested in the company as part of Ulu Ventures Fund I and Jorge did an incredible job of laying the framework for success. Extremely creative, he found a business model to help sell tech to farmers by selling them harvesting services, something they were already used to buying. We’re proud of the returns the company generated (Blue River was sold to John Deere in 2017 ). But we’re more proud to have invested in a Latino who supports the Latino tech ecosystem and serves as a role model for others. We’re proud of the huge environmental benefits and the tech leadership he and his partner created that have won them so many awards and recognition in the field of AI, robotics, drone technology, clean tech and earned them the reputation as top disruptors in agtech.” – Ulu Ventures
