Project Description

A grazing management and cattle record-keeping software that helps ranchers make profits while building healthy grasslands

PastureMap helps farmers and ranchers globally reverse climate change by restoring soil health, sequestering carbon, and providing clean water while feeding local communities. If all grasslands globally were managed to their full potential, atmospheric carbon could be reversed to pre-industrial levels within 20 years.

More than nine thousand farms in 40 countries have adopted PastureMap since its launch in 2016. Founders are Stanford GSB, McKinsey, KKR, Google, and Twitter alums; the team includes Stanford CS and Stanford Earth Systems veterans and experienced ranchers.

PastureMap was acquired in June of 2020 by SoilWorks.
