Brown University
Trina Weller and Steve Reale conducted a workshop on Decision Analysis in Venture Capital for a group of students at Brown University’s Masters of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PRIME) program. Ulu Ventures was one of the stops on the group’s weeklong Silicon Valley immersion trip, which enhances their classroom education with interactions with startups, VCs, and technologists.
Women’s History Month
We wrapped up Women’s History Month having spotlighted five of our amazing female Ulupreneurs. We explored the personal stories of how Jenny Xia Spradling, CEO of FreeWill, continues their efforts to steer bequests for charities to a total of $1T. We also learned how Ritu Narayan, CEO of Zum, is transforming student transportation and providing innovative ways for it to be sustainable. Additionally, Marisa Repka, co-founder of Cambium, told us about their efforts to make sure waste lumber gets upcycled back into the market.
We also talked to Aline Lerner, CEO of interviewing.io, who just co-authored a book to help engineers navigate a very different job market. And we highlighted the work of Jayce Hafner, CEO of FarmRaise, who is helping farmers streamline their finances and navigate the current political climate.
