The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco announced Miriam Rivera’s appointment to its Economic Advisory Council. The council is an important source of information on current and pending economic developments in the Twelfth District. Councilmembers provide observations and insight to the boards of directors and management of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco about the district, which includes nine western states—Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington—plus American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Miriam was a featured speaker for a VC University class focused on Ulu’s approach to investing. The program’s mission is to democratize access to venture education and offers practical training, resources, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, attorneys, and anyone interested in venture capital. Led by Venture Forward, NVCA, and UC Berkeley, the program celebrated its 5-year anniversary this year, with 4,300+ participants across 17 sold-out cohorts since 2019.
