Ulu partners were spotlighted throughout 2022 for their extraordinary contributions to the venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystems. CEO Miriam Rivera’s many awards this year included a recognition by Insider as the #1 Female Seed-Stage Investor. Both Managing Director Clint Korver, #26, and Miriam, #28, made Insider’s Top Seed 100.
Partner Nancy Torres was cited as a Rising Star in venture capital by Insider. Our newest partner, Maria Salamanca, was awarded “30 Under 30” All-Star Alumni status by Forbes.

Kauffman Fellows
Clint Korver (KF Class 14) led a spirited discussion for a global group of Kauffman Fellows entitled “The Four Secret Levers of GP Wealth Creation,” which explored how most emerging managers don’t appreciate the potential of a GP contribution to build personal wealth. Ulu Partner Steve Reale (KF Class 14) also spearheaded a discussion for emerging managers entitled “The Nuts and Bolts of Management Companies” which dived into the relationship and management of fund vehicles.
Carta Equity Summit
Nancy Torres was featured at the Carta Equity Summit discussing new venture fund structures and investment strategies. She highlighted what differentiates Ulu from other VCs: the firm’s focus on diverse teams and its expertise in using decision analysis.
