Hispanic Heritage Month – Itziar and Maite Diez-Canedo

Itziar Diez-Canedo and Maite Diez-Canedo are co-founders of Via, a platform that helps companies of all sizes onboard and pay employees and contractors across countries. Yes, they’re sisters and they’re on a mission to help connect people across borders. They’re helping a lot of firms do business internationally which has been a pain point for many growing companies. Itziar and Maite launched Via at Stanford, first as a global recruiting platform. But helping clients recruit talent abroad made them realize just how hard it is for companies to hire in a new country. That’s when they decided to pivot and focus solely on building a platform to enable seamless global hiring. They’ve both had international careers and lived and worked across 18 cities around the world. They are passionate about helping companies become more global and build more diverse teams.” – Ulu Ventures
