During the initial COVID19 outbreak in 2020, more than a dozen countries used data-mining software provided by Palantir Technologies Inc. for coronavirus response efforts.The firm’s software enables customers to integrate and analyze all their data so they can investigate questions they couldn’t easily answer before. Palantir makes it easier for customers to manage data like software engineers manage code. From delivering disaster relief by helping agencies marshal emergency data and resources to building safer automobiles, Palantir can help make their partners better at their most important work.

Based in Palo Alto, California, Palantir was founded by a group of PayPal alumni and Stanford computer scientists, including CEO Alex Karp.
