Project Description

Helping older Americans make smart health and financial choices

FairStreet is a digital platform that empowers the 55 million Americans 65 and older to make better informed health and financial choices, starting with Medicare enrollment. Enrollment is overwhelming, people 65 and older must choose between an average of 57 options. FairStreet’s platform helps people compare, choose, and enroll in the right plan for their needs so they can be confident and well-informed about their healthcare.
Co-founders Sarah Jacobson and Tori Seidenstein each witnessed close family members struggle to navigate the healthcare system. Sarah turned her experience into a passion for improving access to health insurance, first building a health insurance marketplace at Stride Health and then launching Square’s health benefits product. Tori’s experience established a passion for building consumer-facing digital health technology, which she did as one of the first engineers on Facebook’s health team. Sarah and Tori met at Stanford’s business school and share a vision for improving the lives of older adults.
