Clever seeks to enable school districts to centrally manage automated rostering; provides students with fast, secure single sign-on to applications and devices and allows educators to safely discover and implement new edtech.
Clever’s business model means any school district can finally have interoperability at no charge thanks to their network of 500+ partners.
Clever was created by a school tech director in Denver when his plans to use technology to save teachers time and personalize learning were stymied by what felt like countless CSV files and forgotten passwords.
Today, more than 65% of the K–12 schools in the United States use Clever, including 95 of the largest 100 districts.
Clever was acquired by Kahoot in June 2021
