Managing the Workforce of the Future – Now

Streamlining Workforce Management

The workplace landscape, particularly for shift and temp workers, was already shifting pre-pandemic, and now there has been a sea change. The recent rise in workers not showing up for their shifts or just plain quitting without notice can create a nightmare for employers who are managing, hiring, scheduling and dealing with payroll. For temp employees, getting shifts when they want or getting paid in a timely manner can be frustrating. Ulupreneur Nicholas Lillios is co-founder and CEO of Nowsta, a platform that helps employers manage their workforce and gives employees the ability to get paid instantly. Nick calls Nowsta “mission control” for gig, shift, temp and flex workforces. Employers often spend anywhere from 30 to 50 hours a week, managing hourly, gig and temp workers. The Nowsta platform can streamline the process reducing that time to 30 min per week. For workers, it also means getting paid instantly, something that has been a pain point for temporary and shift workers for years. Nick was one of our “featured founders” at Ulu’s annual meeting for 2021. He explains how the platform works and his dreams for making Nowsta as ubiquitous as LinkedIn.
